Non-fiction is not always the easiest form of reading for me. I tend to make up for that by watching all the interviews and reading all the articles about whichever non-fiction catches my eye. However, this time might be different. This book is about female evolution and why the female body has been ignored by science for so long. The author, Cat Bohannon, is an American academic who has done years of research to be able to write about things such as the differences between the male and female brain – if there are any -, hypothesize on why humans give birth to live babies, and explain some of the reasons why medicine is not actually tested on women before being approved for the general public. In her interviews, she sounds relatable and not too science-y. I’m going to give this book a chance. Let’s read it and learn together.
